Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Your use of cssshift.com (the "Site") is governed by the terms below. By continuing to use the Site you agree to them.

CssShift does one thing — as a CSS gradient generator it builds linear, radial and conic gradients visually with draggable color stops and live preview, then exports prefixed CSS or a React style object. It composes the gradient from the stops and angle you set, writes the standard background-image alongside vendor-prefixed fallbacks, and for conic gradients reports a solid fallback color taken from the first stop for browsers that do not support them. What follows concerns only that tool and the inputs involved in it.

Practically, all the calculation needs is the colors, stops and angles you pick. Typical reasons people open CssShift include getting a prefixed fallback for an older browser, and in every case the work happens on the visitor's own device rather than ours.

About this Site and its tools

What cssshift.com offers is a CSS gradient generator, free of charge and for general information. Results are estimates generated from your input by the method the page describes. Developer tools produce output for use in your own work, and you remain responsible for reviewing and testing it.

Not professional advice

Nothing here forms a client, advisory or fiduciary relationship. The Site is a tool, and how you act on its output is a matter for you.

Ads and external links

Third-party adverts keep the Site free and external links appear for convenience. We vouch for neither, and neither can change an output.

Changes and downtime

There is no uptime promise: tools and pages may be altered, suspended or withdrawn without notice, and the Site is offered as it stands.

Liability

As far as the law permits, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and for any decision taken in reliance on a result from the Site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the Site, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Using generated output

Treat output as a starting point rather than a finished artefact. Review, adapt and test it yourself; responsibility for anything that ships rests with you, not with the tool.

Accuracy

We aim for correctness and document the method behind the tool. We do not warrant that every result is free of error, or that the content is complete or current. Where a method carries a recognized margin of error, the result should be read as an estimate.

Acceptable use

You are free to use the Site for your own purposes, business included. Prohibited: attacking or overloading it, scraping at a rate that harms service, misrepresenting it as yours, and any illegal use.

Copyright and ownership

Ownership of the Site's copy, layout and code lies with us or our licensors. Link freely; ask in writing before reproducing substantial parts.
